The Tamar Valley - a wide wooded river valley reaching from Bodmin Moor to Dartmoor, from the beaches of East Cornwall to the towns of West Devon, dotted with ancient mines, Tudor houses, stunning gardens, and rivers to explore and fish.
Tamar Valley Tourism brings together fishing, mining heritage, sailing, gardens, art, canoeing, and eating out with accommodation from hotels to holiday cottages, from B&B's to camping and caravanning, all along the River Tamar, from North Cornwall down past Plymouth to the Rame Peninsula. Join us! We love the Tamar Valley - we're sure you will love it too.
We Love the Tamar Valley is delighted to welcome Day Visitors once again, but please remember, you may not stay overnight
Although lockdown has been eased, the Government has issued instructions that whilst people may make trips away from home, they may not stay away overnight. Travel to the Tamar Valley for a holiday, a short break or to stay at your second home is therefore not permitted.
We do however welcome you as day visitors
It remains essential that we take all necessary steps to stop the virus from spreading, protect our local communities and avoid placing unnecessary pressure on NHS resources and local facilities.
We know that you love the Tamar Valley as much as we do and that you will make sure that when you next visit, you will stay alert and stay socially distanced.
If you're not ready to visit yet, do stay connected to our beautiful area via our website and social media pages.
