This website, We Love the Tamar Valley is owned and managed by the Tamar Valley Tourism Association. It does not collect any personally identifiable data from you, unless you sign up as a member, or fill in a form to contact a member organisation. TAVATA does not sell, rent or trade your personal data with other companies and businesses for marketing purposes

If you contact a member organisation, your email address will be passed to the member organisation so they can reply, but will not be used by the Tamar Valley Tourism Association to contact you, or passed on to any other member.

If you become a member, then your contact details will be collected so that we can provide you with an invoice, and allow visitors and other members to contact you.  You do not have to give an email address, but if you choose to do so, it may be made available to other members.  You can specify an email and postal address for invoices that is not published on the website if you wish to do so.

Google Analytics

When someone visits this website, we use Google’s Analytics service to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site, what devices they are using and what country they are from. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website. We not only abide by this Privacy Policy, but comply with all applicable laws, policies and regulations relating to the collection of information by visitors.

Mailing List

We send a regular newsletter to our members (and only our members) using a third-party provider, MailChimp. From time to time we also send other notices to the same mailing list.

We don’t rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor our mailings. For more information, please see MailChimp’s privacy notice.

Facebook Advertising

Whilst we also advertise on Facebook (and its affiliates, including Instagram), using a number of different targeting methods, we do not use the Facebook pixel, and so we do not collect date on website visitors this way. Neither do we currently use Facebook’s ‘Custom Audiences’ feature.

Access to your personal information

You are entitled to view, amend, or delete the personal information that we hold. Email your request to our data protection officer at [email protected].
