Tavistock Garden Festival springs into summer on the Whitsun Bank Holiday weekend, Sunday 28th and Monday 29th May, 10am until 4pm. Since 2005 this popular event has continued to grow and is now a firm fixture on Tavistock’s events calendar.
With so many fantastic specialist nurseries in the South West Tavistock Garden Festival provides an excellent opportunity for enthusiastic gardeners to access, and expert growers to showcase, quality plants. For inspiration there will be mini garden displays vying for the coveted ‘Golden Trowel’ and ‘People’s Choice’ awards.
Alongside the specialist nurseries there will be a wide range of gardening exhibitors from antique tools to gardening arts and crafts to machinery, equipment and furniture.
Planning on redesigning a whole garden or just have a problem patch? Local garden designer and writer Matt Jackson, from Black Sheep Consultants, will be available throughout the weekend to provide help with your garden design queries. Matt has over 20 year experience as a professional gardener, including working for the National Trust as well as on smaller projects.
There will also be the opportunity to indulge in some retail therapy from the many local food, arts and crafts trade stands. With expert advice and children’s activities, it promises to be a fabulous day out for all the family.
